Default I'm going out on a limb here ...

With no other informtion than what you gave I have to guess a lot.

If you actually look into your shared files folder, with Explorer or some Mac equavalent, and they are gone, then they are really gone. After that you get into file recovery stuff which is out of the scope of this forum.

I am iginorant and lazy and did not read all the previous threads so I will add - With the newer version of LM when you specificy a shared folder and maybe add a new (large) file, the folder may show up as empty until the software is finished with processing the files. The bigger the file the longer the wait. With multiple folders the folder may not even show up (in the library) for a short while.

In the case I am just too tired and have stumbled into someones joke, please disregard this post.

Ken

Have you upgraded recently? LimeWire sets up a default shared file. Maybe the one you were sharing is just not registering in LimeWire because another is chosen?

Or is it completely gone from your hard drive? I thought I'd read something about someone deleting the Shared File in LW and it was deleted from their hard drive.

Hope you figure it out.
