Is there anyway to get rid of the VERY ANNOYING pop-ups that are part of this site now? You can't even use it without your blood pressure skyrocketing. Are there other sites that are more user friendly?

Perhaps you should run adaware to check if there's any scumware on your system www.lavasoftusa.com.

And you could use a free popup stopper like NoAds (I got mine from Tucows)

Don't blame the LW site.... I've never gotten a single pop-up there. As RaaF suggests, it must be scumware on your system.

I have just downloaded both programs. I will see if they work tomarrow. Thanks for the advice.
