file size I'm new at this and there is a lot I don't understand. If I search and have several 4 stars to choose from, does the file size or type of file matter? I'm using this for CD buring not MP3 transfers. Also, is my computer the rate limiting step. I have DSL. Does that mean if I pick a speed faster than that it won't necessarily download faster? Thanks |
4 Stars is good.. from those with 4 stars, try to pick one with a decent bitrate file... I never d/l anything less than 128 bitrate. But the higher the bitrate, the larger the file.. I think 192 is pretty decent, but do prefer higher if I can get it ;) Choosing someone who has a faster speed than yourself is no problem.. but you can only d/l from them at your maximum. If you choose someone slower.. you can only d/l as fast as their maximum. Does that make sense ?? ;) A thing to remember tho' the faster ones tend to be targeted and you could be queued longer.. so you might get the file quicker if you go for something slower. |
and of course the type of file matters too. If you want music, make sure you aer getting an mp3 or ogg, and not an .exe :) You wouldn't want to download some strange program by mistake |
Thank you |
