Default file size

I'm new at this and there is a lot I don't understand.

If I search and have several 4 stars to choose from, does the file size or type of file matter?

I'm using this for CD buring not MP3 transfers.

Also, is my computer the rate limiting step. I have DSL. Does that mean if I pick a speed faster than that it won't necessarily download faster?

Thanks

4 Stars is good.. from those with 4 stars, try to pick one with a decent bitrate file... I never d/l anything less than 128 bitrate.

But the higher the bitrate, the larger the file.. I think 192 is pretty decent, but do prefer higher if I can get it

Choosing someone who has a faster speed than yourself is no problem.. but you can only d/l from them at your maximum. If you choose someone slower.. you can only d/l as fast as their maximum. Does that make sense ??

A thing to remember tho' the faster ones tend to be targeted and you could be queued longer.. so you might get the file quicker if you go for something slower.

and of course the type of file matters too. If you want music, make sure you aer getting an mp3 or ogg, and not an .exe You wouldn't want to download some strange program by mistake
