![]() As soon as I start version 2.8.5 Pro, my usage goes through the roof. Almost nothing else works when I'm running the program. This just started with 2.8.5 BTW, I have a 1.3GHz Athlon and 768M of RAM. Everything else flies, and I have no problem running several other programs simultaneously... as long as none of them are LimeWire! What changed with this version?? Any ideas? |

![]() Problem solved! Apparently, updating the "Sharing X files" status is a CPU hog. As soon as it finished (it took a _long_ time... I've got ~2200 songs being shared) it went right back to using 5-8% instead of the 80-90 it was using before. Whew... thought I'd never be able to listen to my recently downloaded songs while I was downloading others. Figured I'd post this in case someone else noticed this problem as well... BTW... love LimeWire! I've re-upped my subscription every time it becomes available. Y'all are doing a great job. Keep up the great work. ---J |

![]() Glad to hear it works for you. LimeWire hashing your files can really be a pain at times... But it has to be done, so LimeWire can prevent corruptions and identify two occurences of the same file... |
