Loud Noises From My Computer Combined with Temporary Freezing?

Cany anyone tell me why my Mac G4 has begun sounding like it has a bad case of indigestion when i use limewire? i upgraded because of the problem, but it continues with the new version. This is a first and i've been using the prog. for months with not problem. It starts gurgling and then it starts to hog all the system resources so i can't do anything.. plus then it refuses to quit sometimes, but not all the time? Very erratic.

also.. does anyone think this might have something to do with those files tha t come up in searches that look like this:

-these come up with any search and the stuff in the parenthesis are alsways the same..I down'loaded one or two of these before realizing they were crap, now i'm just wondering if that caught up to me.

Any ideas what my problem is?

The gurgling sounds like the shared files are being prepared for sharing--"hashing." It's processor intensive. The awesome, etc are spam--delete!
search for "awesome" in these forums for lots more ideas.
