Default Fatal Application Error

I installed limewire on my g/f's imac and it went fine, but when i tried to load it up it said:
FATAL APPLICATION ERROR
unable to locate the applications "main" class. the class com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.main must be public and have a public static void main (string [ ]) method (lax)
what does that mean and how do i fix it?
thanks
John

Try LimeWire 2.9.7 or 2.9.8 (not 2.9.8.2).
