Auto-completing the search I'm running LimeWire 2.9.8 and it's really annoying that every time I want type in a n artist or title name LimeWire auto-completes it. E.g., if I want to search for "Robbie Williams" written with upper case letters and with lower case letters "robbie williams" it is impossible because LimeWire auto-completes it the way I wrote it the first time. Can somebody please tell me how to change that? Thx in advance Laura |
the case of your search (ie whether it's "Sam" or "sam") doesn't have any effect on the results. but, if you want to turn off autocomplete, i believe the newest version has the option in the tools window, under 'view -> autocomplete text' (or maybe 'user interface -> autocomplete text'). if it's not in the newest version already, it'll be in the next one. |
I like the auto complete--it's a great feature. I can just ignore it and type anything I want anyway. The option to turn it off is in 2.9.10 (Beta). What would be very useful is to have the search box auto-enter whatever download or search result is selected. The entry could then be edited, especially for longer names. If I have to quit LW, all my search tabs are lost and it's tedious retyping all the pending downloads in order to search for more sources. (Hi Sam--thanks again for adding the autocomplete). |
Thank you so much Thx a lot for helping me. I hope now that I've downloaded 2.9.10 it will work. Sberlin, are you from Germany? Or why did you choose that name? Sincerly, Laura |
because my first name is sam and my last name is berlin? ;) (no, i'm not from germany) |
