Is this really true??? I saw this post on http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,1066564;root=poll,swapping;mode=flat
Be Careful Sharing/Downloading on LimeWire
I received a letter from my cable company saying that Limewire was informed by MPA and some music companies of the files I had been sharing and downloading. The cable company said that they were not going to discontinue my service because they knew I was not using the service to sell what I download. They did however tell me that there are undercover people working with Limewire to help catch people downloading anything copyrighted, tradmarked and such. These companies do not care if it it for your own person use. Just thought I would pass the word and let you guys know that you have to be careful who you share your files to and also who you download from, because both actions are being monitored. The MPA (Motion Picture Association) has told my cable company that they are in the process of filing actions against people. Just be careful b/c some cable/dsl providers may cut you off of their service.
whats the deal with that???? |
