Default Volume control

Thank you for your help. You guys are great. Here's my problem. Sometimes I download stuff, from limewire and move them to itunes and other times I copy stuff off a cassette (convert to mp3) and move them to itunes also. My problem is getting the volume set to the same level. I have a mac and i use toast titanium to burn to a disk. Again, I really thank you for all your help. I'm just an old man having some fun. Please be specific because I know very little.

itunes for OS X has the ability to standardize volume. It is under effects in the preferences. That's itunes 4, which is a free dl for OS X.

Unless there's something I don't know, the sound normalizing feature on itunes for Mac OSX only standardizes playback volume, not burning-to-disk volume. That's something Mac needs to address. If I'm wrong about that, please let me know.

I'm sorry. You're quite correct. Only for playback.
