Default Lme Wire might die... odds are against it

There is a possabilaty that LW (lime wire) could be eliminated, but I think they can stand there ground, after all they have a multi-million doller opporation going. Don't fret, if they do, there are many others out there.

Angry MAC and Limewire 4 ever

Limewire is the only one I use and enjoy. It works very well with my MAC Classic. I don't know where else to go. from what I understand in the RIAA forum, they are already investigating KAZA users. Next thing ou know, they will be suing libraries for loaning CDs and people who pass them around or even eBay members for re-selling their CDs. It's all crazy and stupid.

Default sueing

somewhere along the line, I have heard that - should an individual be sued, the amount of monetary value assessed will be based on the amount of MB consumed in the recording. The idea of sueing someone is because the artist didn't get his/her due portion for work performed. if that's the case the MB assessment will be completely out of whack - some people downloan or upload as the case might be, at 128 (quality rating), some in the 90's, some going the other way, 356 - etc. the higher you go - the better the quality. - the same selection mind you - nevertheless, it's pure stupidity if they start suing EVERYONE - bon chance

GOOD LUCK

If they sue everyone individually, imagine all the (more) money they will loose in time going to court ? ! There are more of us then there are of them. You can't take on the entire world.

Default followup to sueing

Think of this though, They want to "sue" based on the information found in your computer.

By the time I have about 6-700MB info - I burn to a disk and it is completely stable

You can even D/L MP3's and still pay the price. Once you have a receipt, you are in the drivers seat.

Unhappy what is the solution

I love Lime Wire (like I loved Nabster). I like to get free songs, but really I wouldn't mind paying something if the service could give you as broad of a selection as Lime Wire. The programs that I have checked out are pretty limited.
I am just wondering when the record industry will catch up with the times, and realize that music does not need to be a "hard copy".

Default solution

Who is to say there is a solution.

No matter what you say or do in life, there is going to be someone that wll oppose your thinking let alone your way of doing things.

When I hire someone to do a job, I really don't set a manner in which it is done as long as it looks the same. As long as the customer is happy with the end result. How you did the job is your business.

Downloading, paying for a service to own, rent, - makes no difference. Now then, what you do with it WILL determine how you got the job done. If there are copyrights involved and you are making a "profit" on someone elses work -- that's a no no!

Answer?

There really is none.

Good Luck
