 Edonkey2000, no show your ID addr. Better then LW? I've been using LW for years. Just started using Edonkey2000 a few months ago. Edonkey2000 does NOT flagrantly display our IP address like LW does. Isn't this much safer for the file sharing community? Granted, even wiith Ed2000, a network sluth could figure the IPs, but at least is not so obvious as with LW. Why does LW continue to openly show our IP Addresses?  |

| Thanks peerless. I strongly believe that LW should never-the-less hide the display of the IP Address. 99+% of interested parties have no idea how to sluth the actual IP address. Good example: If I (inadvertantly of course) share a small company's commercial/paidware program. Some junior computer person at the small company notices it on LW. Sees my IP address. Runs a WHOIS.... etc. Same junior guy would be totally clueless of IP address if using Edonkey2000. THATS MY POINT! |
