Default Attn: experinced lw users

I have been useing lw for about a year now and a week ago I was useing lw and I accedently downloaded an exe. file called keylogger. Right after the file went to my shared folder I tried to delete it but it would not let me saying that the files was either in use or wright protected. After I restarted my computer I was allowed to delete the file but I found about 800 exe. files in my shared folder. I also found about the same number of files in C:>windows>MyShares. I cannot seem to keep these files from comeing back after I restart it. If there is anyway to get rid of these files other than reformating I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou.

I downloaded a virus scanner called Solo. It scanned the hard drive and did not find any viruses. When i restarted my computer I found that there were only about 100 exe. files in each folder insted of the usual 800. I have also noticed that after the computer started up there two programs at the top called svchost. If you have any further suggestions I would like to know them, thankkyou.

deepblue,

try an other virus scanner. If you arenīt able to find it - this virus might be some king of stealth virus. The only way to find it is to reboot your system with a clean virus scanner disk, the most scanners offers the option to create such a disk.

I hope this helps.

@Peerless
I donīt thinks it is the same worm, deepblue said that he lost files. It sounds more like a virus.
