Hi rkapsi,

I want to allow other users to search with "fern" hosted on my server and download file to their computer instead of mine where the application is hosted, is this possible ?. please let me know.

Thanks

I imagine it could be possible for a server to go through the motions of downloading the file and then forward the results (during the HTTP exchange in the front-end) to a user, but it kind of defeats the purpose of using a distributed network in the first place.

For the network to function as designed, each user would need to be running a gnutella engine of sorts.

Talking A question

Hi all,

I am new to gnutella and limewire and don't know much about it .I like the "fern" webclient. I read somewhere that the filedownload request is done by "http" in gnutella or limewire, if this is the case then it is possible to provide the url of the file after the search and client can download the file from their browsers by cliking on the link.

Please reply if you think this is possible or is there any developer who can do this ?.
