Why can't i burn a cd with itunes?

I've got limewire pro and i'm running OSX 1.1.5. what is the frigging problem?
I can make all the "playlists" i want, but i can't import them into itunes, so they're useless.

I am running Panther, so it may be different, but I simply drag the songs from my download folder into itunes. If you want to burn a cd, then use toast and drag the files into it or use osx's built in burner(insert blank cd, drag mp3s/aiff files onto disc icon on desktop, hit file on the top toolbar and select burn disc.)
