Hi all. Whenever I click on magnet links (even on the ones on magnetmix.com) Shareaza which was previously installed opens up instead of Limewire. Does anyone know how to make Limewire the default handler of magnet links?

You can install LimeWire again. With the newest beta (I'm not sure about the last non-beta) LimeWire will also ask if you want it to be the magnet handler when you start it.

A related problem/workaround: thanks to rkapsi who noted that Magnets are handled by the alphabetical order of magnet-enabled clients on OSX.

So, I renamed Acquisition to xAcquisition and now my LW opens magnets first. This needs to be done before each download of a magnet, so it's a poor workaround.

Also, Safari needs to be selected as the default browser in the System Preferences, Internet, on OS 10.2.8 (Jaguar). The equivalent Panel isn't in Panther.
