Why does Limewire clear itself?

Using Limewie, I will find sites - then choose to download some of the files. However, when I shut down the machine, I lose all the files I've found - and any files which arepartially downloaded no longer show up on my screen. Bearshare picks up where I left off. Is there a setting(s) in Limewire that will allow me to pick up where I left off when I reboot?
