Hello,

I just got LimeWire working in OS/2 this evening. Support was no help what-so-ever. Never even bothered to respond.

Here is the lwire.cmd file that I use to start LimeWire:

java -classpath c:\utils\limewire\LimeWire.jar;c:\utils\limewire\l ax.jar;c:\utils\limewire\collections.jar;%classpat h% a.a.a.b.Main

Of course, everything is on one line.
Also, I've just installed the Java 1.1.8 updates that were released recently.
Head to ftp://ftp.hursley.ibm.com/pub/java/fixes/os2/11/118/

And grab at least the runtime file.

Java -fullversion now reports:
JAVA.EXE full version "JDK 1.1.8 IBM build o118-20010114 (JIT enabled: javax V3.5-IBMJDK1.1-20010114)"

Hope this helps!
Rick

see at "http://www.limewire.com/download/index.htm" and download "http://download.limewire.com:8080/download/LimeWireOther.zip"
and install with command: java -classpath LimeWireOther.zip install

and run it with the wlime.cmd by Brennor and then it works.. (very nice)

Ok, I'm very grateful for the Brennor script to start LimeWire on OS/2. This works fine for me, too. Basic question - where would a newbie find this in the installation instructions with the download?

I've installed the fix you said to get, and ive created the cmd you said to create. When I use your cmd, i get the error:
Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Threads

i also tried
jre -cp limewire.jar;classes.jar a.a.a.b.Main limewire.props

and got the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/java/util/collections/Random
at a.a.a.cd.c(cd.java:464)
at a.a.a.cd.b(cd.java:157)
at a.a.a.cd.<init>(cd.java:145)
at
at a.a.a.b.Main.main(Main.java:13)

i have no clue what all this means and have no clue as to how to fix it. help if you can please.

Hey..

You have don't have all classes!!
use not only LimeWire.jar!
LimeWire.jar
lax.jar
collections.jar
swingall.jar
classes.zip
!!!
like lwire.cmd from Brennor!
jave.exe -classpath E:\web\LimeWire\LimeWire.jar;e:\web\LimeWire\lax.j ar;E:\web\LimeWire\collections.jar;E:\JAVA11\Swing \swingall.jar;E:\java11\lib\classes.zip a.a.a.b.Main

Hi,
starting the cmd, i get the following:

C:\Tools\LimeWire>lwire.cmd
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/swing/plaf/metal/MetalLookAndFeel
at a.a.a.c.cr.main(Compiled Code)
