If they have a smiley before their name in the chat column, click on that and maybe a window will pop up that you can use to send a message. Many don't support chat, are firewalled, busy, or just not at their computers, so contact can be inconsistent.

you are so right about first of all, a window MAYBE a window will pop up, but now ive had dozens do it, and ive had not one, and i mean not one answer. i dont believe it works, i mean after all one can turn off the smiley face so as not to invite chattting. many times i see someones type music and wouuld like to ask a question, but so far, it aint happenin.... thanks girard. also, have you ever had anyone answer, or known anyone to answer??? i would be interested to know. thanks again, girard

Yes, I've answered and initiated chats, but not often. Like I said, if the window does pop up, the other person has to be at the computer and willing to chat.

I have also found chat windows in the morning. I guess I should really turn off chat when away from the machine, but since it is rarely used I forget.

the folder is in the trashbin. restore it first. it seems you can play a song with the limewire player after the folder is restored to say for example the desktop. it seems ive gotten it back before and its not too much trouble. girard
