In past I purchased up on limewire pro.. like a year ago or more. It was like $9.95 or something like that. The price has doubled since then. This is too much to pay close to $20 and recieve only 6 months of upgrades.

Also how does the pro get more search results and what not? They allow the pro to connect up to more connections? Besides stating the facts they dont explain the basic how.

looks like a pretty good overhaul on this new ver.4 though.. thats what had me running back to the site to order up and show some support.

Anyone know how it gets more search results or faster download speeds with pro over free basic?

I am a novice in PC terms and installed the free version, I got slightly fed up by the amount of downloads the simply returned 'need more hosts', 'waiting for more sources' etc etc. So I thought, no problem, it's probably restricted by the fact it was a free version, hell, they are just showing you whats available and the Pro version will be heaps better! So I paid my money and got Pro.

My intention was to try and get mp3 copies of all the best songs that I have on vinyl collecting dust in the loft! (ok I may be old fashion'd;-) )

But what I see so far is no actual change in anything other than a smart new skin...apart from supporting the development of the app, what have I actually got for my money. As for adds, I never saw any on the basic version! (Lindows version on ADSL)

This is not a troll, but I think that I must have either missed the point of this app or am using it incorrectly.

Sometimes you get downloads that start directly, sometimes you have to have patience. That is the nature of P2P. Don't
give up so quickly. Be sure and share files too; that will increase your success rate.

So how do you get more search results and quicker downloads with pro? Im also using the lindows version btw. My experiance with winmx is far better though but it dont run natively on linux and I havent got it to run using wine in the past. well it ran and pulled results but there were glitches like not being to click on any results. maybe I will try running it again with newer wine.

Im supprised that no one has answered the question about how limewire registered version is suppose to be faster. Or all the other things they claim. Better search results.. so on...

Who cares what the exact differences are -- it is not so important. You try the standard version of LimeWire and it works for you, you buy the pro version as a way of supporting the people developing it. That is kinda the way it works.

Obviously you dont share the same level of interest.. who cares? everyone who is curious to know if these claims are honest. If its not in your interest to know then please dont even bother posting. If you have an answer then let me know. Why start up a flame war.
