![]() Can anybody hep me? I just accidentally wiped out all my shared files, thinking I was cleaning up my incomplete files. Stupid, I know, but is there a fix? ![]() |

![]() I wiped the files out by deleting them from the library. I have a PC that runs Windows XP and has huge amounts of memory - other than that I'm not sure what I've got (I'm strictly a software kind of gal - hardware I leave to others). Hope that's enough info; I think I'm better off downloading them again, even with a 56K modem, (I only had about 50-55) than trying to do a system restore - I'm liable to mess something else up. ![]() If you cancel your dwnlds from the search/dwnld window, you can force resume from the lib. windows's incomplete files. However, deleting them from the latter is a problem! Unless anybody else on the forum has any suggestions, I'd suggest you do what you suggested. I don't know if utilities will be able to recover such lost files either. And also the LW.dat file might have recorded your actions - LW's techs might know about that. (I don't suppose you did any kind of a backup before hand?) I also use a dial-up modem (I'm considering broadband)! |
