![]() nice post, good info! Tied up a couple of loose ends for me, e.g. max number of downloads could concievably be reached on one file! I'm tweaking. question - I think it was asked in another post, but didn't see a reply: When I was using Kazaa, on a good night I was achieving download speeds of up to 170kB/s, yet my download speed slider in Limewire maxes out at about 43 just before unlimited. Same if I move my setting from DSL to T1. Any way to change that? |

![]() Yeah. "Recieved incoming this session" is still false: there's something else blocking LW there. Routers, other firewalls (it's not your ISP from what you said earlier).... Maybe you need to try another port...

![]() Okay I read your article above... Did some changes but I am not sure if I have set it perfectly because the Download speed seems about the same so I'll give you the details I have DSL 512/256 (up/down) respectively as many people do. Before I use to download files at about 30Kbps max The upload slider I have was set to 27-35Kbps The maximum is about 50kbps on Download and upload If i am going wrong somewhere please notify me. |

![]() I'll leave your questions for Murasame to answer since Murasame is the specialist in this area. But I think you're getting confused with the definitions. 8 kbps = 1 KB/s If you were getting 30 KB/s then that's equivalent to 240 kbps. Which is not unusual b/c there's always overhead loss. Yeah about 50 KB/s would be about your maximum possible I'd suggest - perhaps just over. |
