So you need to set your Speed to Modem. Then set your Download to unlimited and your UL limit to 5 or less. Try this if it doesn't help there are some other things you can try. But your ISP may be filtering P2P networks.

I guess that now I understood to these things..I probably exceeded my limit for download.., because in last week I downloaded about 15GB of tv series( Lost- its great by the way.., I reccomend for your help)
On web pages of my cable provideri s not written how big limit is..Perhaps tommorow (monday)it will be o.k.
So can you please advise me how to best set up Limewire for these speeds?
download/upload..-3000kbps/300kbps

With 3000/300 your best settings would be to set limewire to cable/Dsl or T1. But T1 the lowest Upload setting is 31.75KB/s which you can probably get away with. Download unlimited Uploads should be set around 30KB/s best to allow 3 or 4 upload connections the more connections you allow the more bandwidth required to communicate with them. I would not Download more than 2 or 3 files at a time. And try not to have more than 1 or 2 waiting for sources at a time.

Your Welcome, Your English is fine I had no problem understanding what you were trying to say.

There is a tool called Ispell that you can use to check your spelling if you wish. Hell English is my language and I use it. If you look up at the right corner of the reply page and click on the ABC with the check mark below it, It will take you to the I spell site. Or you can click on the link below.

Tried everything you suggested. Still slow downloading audio files but video is usually faster. I'm using XP Media Center could it be causing a problem?

I doubt it. A little more info is needed.

Can you give us a total description of your set up:
1. OS version? (Eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (Eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your ISP provider? ( AOL/MSN/Comcast/Tiscal)
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.

* Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

12. Do This test, Is the result True/False?
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...757#post103757 Is the result True/False

13. Do a speed test post the results here.

Hi,

Can some body help me to convert this : Downstream:1500kbps/ Upstream: 256kbps, so i can confirgure my downstream/upstream on LimeWire exactly. And i was wondering, my LimeWire PRO is....well..free.and is that effecting my speed.
