memory leak in 4.08 pro? I've been sitting here for the last 10 minutes or so with Limewire 4.0.8 running under OS X 10.3.5 with the latest Java update installed. I've watched in Activity Monitor as the "Real Memory" value has increased from about 95Mb at launch to 116.5 at the moment. I first noticed this when my system was reacting slowly and I found 5 swap files were created on a machine with 1.5GB of RAM. When I looked at the process list LW was consuming 684MB of Real Memory and had reserved over 1GB of virtual memory. In just the time I've been typing now the Real Memory usage has climbed to 117.07 MB. |

This is being discussed in the beta forum http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5375#post95375 The size varys with upload and download activity (but I'm noticing a unusual increases too. A 24 hr run as an ultrapeer showed vmem growing over 1.1 GB. The most I saw before was 1/2 a GB: new way of allocating/recording vmem sizes by Apple's latest updates, maybe?). Real memory wavered around 100 MB and reflected upload activity. |

Will move to other discussion Quote:
The increase for me is without me being an ultrapeer and with only one download active and two pending. Mostly there are no uploads. I'm up to 154.2 at the moment. |
