Problem Using A Program

I just downloaded WinRAR to extract a program called *** and installed it. My problem is I want to play a movie on it. I understood I could play this file I downloaded *** films THX
Is this correct. I can't get the program to open from where it's installed from. I'm so confused: "NewBie"

try http://videolan.org/vlc, this program can play almost any type of video you throw at it, including XviD.
