Limewire Pro I was just wondering if I should purchase Limewire Pro. Does it always have turbo charged connection like advertised? Or is it a waste of money? Does it improve the speed of my downloads. If someone could help me I would appreciate it. thanks |
I just bought Pro and I think that it's really worth the money, not because it has some crazy features that Basic doesn't have: at first glance they look identical. I bought it simply because I think that LW is a good software and worth the 20$. Aside from that, Pro will not always have a Turbo-charged connection, mainly because it isn't all up to Pro. There are other factors that influence one's capability of having Turbocharged-status connections, and even though Pro helps get them more often, there are times that you will have a weaker connection (like excellent or Good). By giving you a better connection status (=by connecting to more users) Pro will get you more and better results and thus, in the long run, will get you more speed. |
Good, this thread ansered my question. So my guess is I'll have better luck when trying to download "ILLEGAL ACTIVITY - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Edited to comply with the House Rules. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. " episodes? Also movies? |
Maybe. Possibly. As I said, it doesn't depend solely on LW. Also, you are probably aware that searching for something at one time and at another won't necessarily give you the same results. Even doing two searches one right after the other (for the same thing, huh?) doesn't guarantee that you'll get the exact same results, mostly because you can't expect all the users to be connected to the Gnutella net at all times. The way that Lw groups files can affect that too, as sometimes, LW will not group files that are apparently identical for various reasons, so at one time you'll get more results than the other, but these results will basically be the same file, just not grouped. Make sense? |
