IP Address Eternal sunshine You can't hide your IP address, you see your IP address is similar to your real address, that is how you see the web pages you browse, how your downloads find you and how other computers can upload from you. Your IP address is allocated by your ISP every time you log onto the internet or, if you are on a network, by your DHCP server. There have been claims that there are applications that can hide or scramble your IP address but, unless someone knows differently, they have turned out to be vapourware (hot air, no substance).
