Default precise searching

How can I narrow the search parameters so that ONLY what I am searching for is returned and not things close or verbally related?

I search for "BBC Peter Sellers" and I get back a lot of things by Peter Tosh.

No. Not wanted.

Any help here, or can LimeWire not narrowly and precisely search?

Thanks,

LC

Try using the "Any Type" search with 2 or 3 terms and the extension.
The latest beta (4.1.5) has filters to help narrow the display of results.

Type it with "...", so Limewire should search for the whole phrase and not for each indivdual word.

Thanks! I had tried both single quote and double quote de-limitters, but seemed to get too many results anyhow. Thinking back on it, I realize that I had "Song Title" AND artist filled in ... and the extraneous 'hits' were on the artist (near) name, or the comments containing the artist's name as 'original'.

My assumption is that if I place " around BOTH title and artist (individually), that I will only see a result with both "C'est Si Bon" as a song title and "Conway Twitty" as artist, for example. Nicht var?

Excellent! I just placed double quotes around both song title and artist (for a song I knew existed hundreds of times on-line) and the only returns were the exact song I tried to specify. It works!!!
