cannot restore down limewire
 

i cannot restore down the limewire window. the first time limewire starts up, its minimized and the tip of the day box comes up at the top left corner of the screen. then i try clicking on limewire on the toolbar thing but it wouldnt open. i would have to right click on it and click maximize for it to open. then when i try to restore it down by clicking on the button at the top right corner, limewire minimizes instead, after it minimizes i right click on it to maxmizes it, the search bar thing where you type in waht to download and what your downloading thing gets messed up. the download part of it goes all the way to the right so i have to drag it back to centre it.


i know its confusing and all, but thats what happened, can some please help me out??

Salut JuGGaNauT, first try to update your java to 1.5 while LW is closed http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp (download the JRE). Start LW.

yeah its already updated. i dont know what to do.. i tried restarting it and it still wont restore down :(

Then it's your video card drivers. Try to find updates for them on windows update or at the manufacturer site.

how can my vidweo card be wrong though? everything else is working fine i can play warcraft 3 go on msn and stuff. i think maybe the limewire restored down window is hidden or something

Because we've seen that kind of cases here :) Besides, millions of LW users don't have that problem... It a problem specific to your software/hardware. Seeking for the lastest driver won't hurt. Try it.

well where can i find the latest drive? my dads friend built the comp and i dont know anything or what video card or sound card it has

Ask your Dad! You can go in control panels- system info I believe. (Sorry I'm on my mac now, I don't know the ins and outs of wondow$ by heart ;) ).
