my own library shows up in the search only just recently, I now see files from my own library show up in a search. I don't suppose this matters much, just a new thing. |
This would be normal if they were coming from other hosts, but do ALL your files show up with your IP? That would be strange. |
not all... lets say I have some files from a given artist. I do a search for that artist. If no new results show, the files that I already have do show. Does this make sense? |
yes--that's normal: that shows you that those files have the same name as you. The IP's though, should be different. |
that started happening to me too, but it really doesnt matter to me....just strange |
In what way are your results showing up in your searches? |
I'm still not clear on what people mean when they say their results show up. Are they as ethernet results, or what? |
ill get you a screenshot soon enough.... btw: i lost the bookmark for a site i had that'd host image files -anyone know of one off hand? |
I'm not sure what an ethernet result looks like, but I am getting search results from my own library from the same computer that I'm running LW. If I click the same said file and browse the host it shows my very own ip address. My files showing from my library usually appear when no other new files are available to share. |
