Default Cant Browse Hosts Of Chat To Hosts

Hi,

i am having problem when tryin to browse a host that has a song i like...also when downloading from someone...

i am unble to chat to them...
i have checked that i have enbled chat in the options page...
and a little box comes up when i click on the smily face,..

but i get no response...also with the browsing..
it will start to browse then....show me a list of what they have...sometimes..but normally i get cut off...

does anyone know why it does this and how to fix it!

Apparently there is an option where you can disable others from browsing your library.... there's also an option where you can disable chat from other users. (I think)

ive never seen that option, but ive seen the phenomenon- i guess its their firewall setting

As for browsing, that phenomena sometimes happens to me too. I have no explanation why, other than perhaps the browse search runs out of energy/bandwidth or something. I don't know.

I originally thought that the Show incoming searches option box in the monitor window could control whether people were able to browse your shared library. However somebody suggested to me this is not the case. If that's the case then it just shows the search criteria, etc. of those people searching.
