Default it won't play the whole video

I download a video and it only plays a portion of it, yet I know a much larger file was downloaded. Any way to correct this?
Thanks

Salut, it depends. What is the video player you are using, what operating system, what file extension .avi, .mpg? Try VLC media player, it is an open source player that plays a variety of formats. If that doesn't work, maybe the file is dommaged and you could have to demux it.

Buena suerte amigo

Choose one of the files & press CMD+I & click the arrow next to Open with... & select VLC. I've done this for many (but not all) video formats such as wmv, etc.

Tout est parfait, I'm a mac os x user too! My preferred video player on os x is MPlayer. Get it at http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/10784 Once done right click (or ctrl click) on the video file and select "open with" --- MPlayer. To always have your video files open with MPlayer, do right click on the file, "get informations" and seclect the app you want to open the files and click on the button "modify all".

Ciao

anyone know if there's an easy way to "clean" those "end of file" markers (or whatever they are) from such video? QT quits on them, but vlc and mplayer usually just throw up an exception and keep on playing.
