No no, I got all that a-ok. The thing is just that you missed saying that you are not making a data disc while burning and the reason I posted what I posted is because some people might not read through the post thoroughly and assume that you were making a data disc.

Again, it's not just for me: it's also for all the other users that aren't used to this type of "cyber-language".
But anyway, let's just drop this: the thread has sufficiently gone away from the topic.
Plus, I don't wanna be the a$$hole (again)

i,ve found that a simple mp3 to mp3 conversion fixes those irritating codec faults.

simple and quick.

I guess it depends upon what the converter does. Does it decompress it & recompress it? Or is it more like an mp3 file type converter? Where much of all it does is change the Creator info of the file?

The first will result in loss of quality. The 2nd will probably make it recognisable mainly by one application as the default.

Yup, that probably is the best.
If you want to follow GRANDMASTER's advice tho (but still want to keep the songs in your comp because you use a playlist-capable player), I suggest you burn them on a rewritable disc. That way, even tho the disc is a music CD, it can still be rewritten in case you want to do so.
