4.2.2 Media File Edit PROBLEM!!!!!!!! Ok so I just updated from 4.0.8 to 4.2.2, and its great except 1 problem. HUGE PROBLEM for me because I LOVE to have all my media files organized and have the name exaclty correct. anyway in 4.0.8 you could just double click the file and it would let you edit the name. WHATS THE DEAL WITH 4.2.2??!??? I've tried everything to change the name of a freakin song and no LUCK! This is driving me INSANE! HELP!:D |
Hi mrman, The ability to rename a file was removed in 4.2 -- it was causing too many problems with people accidentally renaming files and general confusion. A better way of renaming is going to be added soon -- we'll see if it's possible to put into a service release for 4.2 (probably 4.2.4). |
thnx for the reply. I wonder when the next version comes out, hope soon. Idk how much more i can take of this:( |
You can still edit the file names from your computer. Just click the 'Explore' button in the library and it'll open a window from either Windows or OSX (depending on which you're using) that can rename files. After you've finished renaming, you can click 'Refresh' in the library & it'll recognize the new name. |
tried that it doesnt regonnize it. it thinks its a completley new file so the limewire file will be the same name but it will be 0kb |
:( bump..any other suggestions? |
Do your name changing after you've finished dwnlding it. |
