First, try using your Search function... The one in your Operating System...

Look for any file name that you can remember or search for file extensions such as .mp3 ............

I am sure that you will find your files...

Default Where are my downloads ?

Ursula-a "general search" does not exist on my computer-There is "Sherlock"which does not return anything resembling a limewire download.I'm guessing there is a hidden folder somewhere that the downloads are hiding in but my lack of computerese does not let me find them.

Sherlock= Mac

Open a Finder window (hey, that's probably why it's called "the Finder"). If you're using OS X, you should see at the top right of the window a search field. Insert the search words there (don't look for something very common but instead, try to look for a word that seems rare)
Alternatively, with the Finder selected, press Command-F and run yer search from there.

Normally your files should be located at the home directory (the one that should be named after you) in a folder there called Shared.
