Java issues

I am having issues with JAVA. When I start Limewire, my display seems to get a bit blurry in all my applications and my Windows Media Player will not play videos..I hear the sound but cannot see the video portion. I experienced this before using Sun JAVA, that is why I uninstalled it from my system, but Limewire requires JAVA to operate properly. Has anybody else expereinced this?
