Is there any way to hide my IP address in limewire pro?

Nope,
The IP adress is needed to establish connections, if some one wants to send you a file (your downloads), they need to know what adress to to send it to.

Could anyone expalain to me why some of the ip addresses in the locations tab of the search window are in red ink? Is it some sort of warning? Also most of the titles in the incomplete downloads folder. I have windows xp sp2 and a cable connection. Another annoying thing has happened a couple of times when I have lost the connection to Limewire and the programme is 'not responding', when I do get it back I have lost a lot of, at times hard won, downloads which have been reaching sometimes 85/95 % !! It makes me want to cry. Sorry this is not really a reply to this thread, it's just that someone else was awake and posting.

its not smart..to let ur own ip seeing by some people
maybe tehy are hacers man that sux

Dear LW Users

Although you cannot hide your IP address from the Internet you can hide and protect your PC with a good firewall, that way your PC cannot be seen by a port scan or hacked. Simply because the firewall will only allow data into your PC that it is expecting, i.e. your requests, while blocking anything else.
