Default Unprotected PCs can be hijacked in minutes

Dear LW users

Although the following article does not have anything directly to do with LW, I thought it would be of interest to those amongst us who are security minded.

PS. Please copy and paste this URL link into your browser, for some reason I can't seem to get it to work from here.

Try 'this' link: Unprotected PCs can be hijacked in minutes. Click HERE!

I don't like the advert that shows up! It's ghostly! How do I get rid of it! lol

Default Pop-Up Advert

Hi LOTR

Thanks for sorting out the link problem in my previous post.

As for the pop-up advert, I use two pop-up suppressors the first one is part of my NPF 2003 and the other is Yahoo’s pop-up blocker, together they stop 99.99% of all pop-ups and pop-unders.

Stats of note: Although Macs and PC's got hit with equal opportunity, the XP SP1 machine was hit with 5 LSASS and 4 DCOM exploits while the Mac remained clean. The Linux desktop also was impenetrable, but only was only targeted by 0.26% of all attacks.
