![]() Hey everyone, (Sorry this is kind of long, I bolded the main points if you want to skim it) I used to have Kazaa; most of the songs played ok, but Kazaa itself was sort of a hassle, and my friend told me about LimeWire. I downloaded (free) LimeWire, and it's great except now when I download and listen to songs, the sound is terrible. Usually, if the song has a guitar (or other instruments in it), you can only hear the instruments ; the voice is very faint and quiet. The entire thing also sounds like it's almost vibrating, as if the band is playing inside a deep tunnel , and it's echoing down the tunnel. At first, I thought I'd just downloaded a couple bad songs, so I got more. Some songs are worse than others, but all of them seem to have this problem. I then went back to my previously-normal music files in Kazaa, and all of them sound weird now too! And I was watching a video online, and it's sound was now also messed up! I'm so confused. Does anyone know what I can do? ![]() Anna Last edited by PinkPanther803; December 11th, 2004 at 10:05 AM. |

![]() Thanks for the suggestion and reply. Unfortunately, I tried that right after I typed up my post, and nothing changed. In fact, I think I said earlier, it's not just the LimeWire player that's bad now... it's alllll the sound on my computer, including old Kazaa files (that I play through Kazaa) that used to be ok, and videos online (that should also be ok). Yeah, but thanks anyways =) Anna |

![]() It sounds like it must be an issue with your computer then. Could be either system softw or hardware such as your sound card. I know there's a control panel for setting your system sound, it could be well worth checking it out to make sure there's nothing that's been changed. Perhaps an effect that's been added. Why don't you try putting an audio cd in your computer & try playing that. Have you done a system maintenance lately? Defragment your hard disk drive, check files with file utilities, etc. Checked your comp for spyware, viruses etc. Last edited by Lord of the Rings; December 15th, 2004 at 08:01 PM. |

![]() Haha, maybe something happened and the phones/speakers plug got partially pulled out of it's socket. Check if it's well in place.
