Default Unable to open File

Hi All:
Just purchased Limewire Pro and have found a problem with downloading files which contain adult content.
After the file has been downloaded successfully, It remains in the download box and when I go to launch the file this is the error warning I receive.
"Can't open file because file name was bad"
Is there a setting that I have forgotten to activated to allow adult content.

Thanking anyone for assistance in this matter.

Kenny G.

It could be for a few reasons. You can only launch multimedia files (audio, video, pics) thru LW. You also need to have apps with the appropriate codecs to play the material. If you're refering to WMV files, then yes M$ do put licencing on some of their own formats. You can try another video app to open those particular files. VLC (a free player with built in codecs & plays almost everything except a few wmv files) (Select the closest mirror site to you.) Just a suggestion. And/OR your can dwnld xtra codecs: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html

If you think the issue is adult setting then you can go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Filters>Keywords & untick ignore Adult content. Though I thought this would have had more effect with dwnlding.

Tks. for your reply Lord:
I went to the sites you supplied, but not being puter literate, backed off on the site which indicated that loading the program may cause my operating system to become unstable.
It did say to disregard the warning's but chickened out LOL.
I am not receiving error message on all adult site files. One of the files took me to the window media site and I had to receive a licence before it would allow me to view the file.
The only problem with this is that every time I go to that file and view it I have to again apply for a license.
Tks. again for your support.
