no dl if limewire isnt on screen
 

When downloading, unless limewire is the active window the dl will run at 0-1 kb/s. ive got other things to do other than let limewire be my active window theoretically it should dl at normal speed if minimised or in the tray. is this normal and if so that is bs. give us a hand itd be appreciated

No that doesn't sound right & I generally have LW running in the background. Update tyour Java to at least: Java 1.4.2 (click on link)

And do these hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities.
