![]() im am a PRO customer (believing PRO was faster! and turbocharged?) i have noticed it has some disgustingly slow transfer speeds of averaging around 20kb/s with a 1 meg connection, were as with my old p2p (ares LITE) i had transfer speeds of up to 120/kbs. I find it hard to believe that this is normal and i very much (HOPE) it is'nt. I have a router as i did with ares granted but i have allowed access to the port and i see no difference. I look forward to a reply hopefully helping me with this problem yours Marc White |

![]() As Peerless said. It really does depend upond a no. of things! If you're dwnlding from a dial up then you'e not even going to get those speeds. Even the higher speed connections will share their bandwidth among many. And they may even limit their upld bandwidth. Searching for new sources can often find new sources to dwnld & sometimes some of those might add on to the ones you presently have dwnlding from. Here's some hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. By the way can you do this test for us: Bug Report instructions & sample image If it's false then you need to provide some xtra info. Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version, 2. What firewalls you have, 3. ram, 4. HDD space available, 5. Connection type, 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers, 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is. |

![]() I have a mesh matrix 3000+ with 1 m RAM and 200 hard disk space i have a 1meg connection with BT i have a modem/router with built in firewalll that i have opened all ports required for LW tbh i average around 70 kbs from high hit d/l's but with ares i had some reaching 120kb/s (i also belive that "turbo charged" d/l's is a little white lie but hey who cares |
