IP Detection, legal downloading
 

Hi all,
Most of the songs I have downloaded are ones I already own on vinyl records and don't want to buy again on CD. So by virtue of that fact, then downloading a song I have paid for is not illegal. Right?

My question is: is it really possible for the RIAA or whoever is prosecuting downloaders to detect that I am downloading a song and then get my IP address and show up at my door?
