Only saves as a m3u file...Can't change back to mp3 Ok so i've already read the post about m3u files and all the people have said is go out and get a converter... My problem is that when i download an mp3 file, Limewire used to save the file as mp3 files.... somehow- it has changed itself to save the files as m3u (a playlist file) it downloads as mp3 but in my playlist section, when i click the save tab.. the only option is to save it to an m3u file. How do you change the saving process back to an mp3, so that i can download, and save in the original format. |

1 Attachment(s) I haven't come across this issue. But some advice was given in this thread about m3u & winamp: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&highlight=m3u I don't know about the LW Playlist. Since I use a mac the save option for this is disabled. I'd suggest you double-check your actual dwnld files to be sure they are actually m3u in the LW Dwnld folder: Tools>Options>Saving for its location or LW's Library window & select Saved Files folder (only LW 4.2 or later) & select one of the files & press the Explore button. Are they really m3u in this folder? Since m3u is a winamp playlist format it's not surprising your burner app doesn't recognise it. Is it possible to burn from winamp? I suppose converters are one way: m3u to mp3 Converter search results |
Of course another way is to set the default to open your mp3's with another app. ie: select an mp3 on our desktop, go to File>Properties>Open with... & select an alternative app. Whether this suits your needs is something else. Or else make Winamp the default but if it shows the same symptoms then do the 1st suggstion. |
