Default I need help with lw/itunes, plz help!

Alright heres the deal. i recently downloaded limewire on my computer. i just got an ipod for xmas and i had to install it on another comp in the house b/c my comp is too old to support itunes. when i load up itunes in the left column (where ur tab for library, party shuffle, radio, etc appear) there is also a tab that says 'unknown's limewire tunes' My question is how do i import these songs into my itunes library so i can load them onto my ipod? I am completely lost so if someone could help that would be great! thanks a lot

If you're using Mac, all you need to do is cjonnect your iPod & it will automatically update with all of iTunes playlists (if it doesn't you'd need to look for the function under File menu for iTunes which says Update iPod.)

For Windows you'll need to import your songs to iTunes. You can just drag & drop them onto iTunes. remember that the limewire folder in iTunes is just a reference to the files in the LW Dwnld folder. They don't actually exist within the iTunes library.

yeah i looked at that, but the problem is that my limewire program is on a separate comp. yes i am using a windows comp too. does anyone know how to get it into the library when it is already on itunes. with cds you just hit the import button, but with the lw list the button is a browse button instead.

You didn't read what I said carefully enough. Or the links I gave you. You can just go to LW's Library, select the Saved Files folder, then select a file to the right of it. Now press the Explore button. This folder will open up for you. All yo uneed to do is drag & drop these mp3's onto your iTunes & it will import them into its own library. And will also be the Library as listed under the iTunes playlists.

If you mean how to get them to the 2nd comp, then the Explore button will open your LW dwnld folder & you cqan move/transport these to your 2nd comp & drop them onto iTunes.

That doesn't make sense unless the 2 comp's are networked. So Comp 1 has LW but no iTunes & Comp 2 has iTunes & no LW. But the music ends up on comp 2's iTunes playlist. That is strange!

Why not just open up your Saved folder as explained earlier & drop these files into a storage device/cd burner & transport them across to comp2. Then just drag & drop them onto iTunes.

So how will you get the files across to the 2nd comp? They must be networked right?
