im not exactly sure how they ended up on the second comp. all i know is they are both connected to the same dsl line and they both run through the same router. when i set up itunes it said something about searching some network for songs, so maybe it detected the songs on my other comp and put them on this one.

Are you sure you don't have iTunes on the comp1? Yes iTunes can detect files over a lan. That means you're probably networked right? If you are you can probably copy them across. Why don't you set up iTunes on the comp1 & so you can then import them to iTunes's library there. Then connect your iPod to that one.

Then either network them, fix your cd burner, or install LW on the 2nd comp. The way it's set up doesn't make practical sense if you can't get the files onto any other device incl your iPod.

I don't personally have an iPod. But I should imagine it shouldn't be too difficult. You should be able to transfer/copy both the files & play lists. I'm not sure if this tutorial covers this but it's worth a look: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/...ial/index.html

As a mac user & having some idea about how iTunes works I'd suggest it shouldn't be a problem.

Doh. I didn't think of it before but you should be able just to import the tunes into iPod using the iPod iTunes. Else copy them across. Nowadays iPod can load pics & other so why not!!! Try it!
