Direct Connecting

I was just wondering how to directly connect with someone else On Limewire. I Heard you can do this but how do you set it up? Also, is it true the more files you share, the faster your downloads are? Thanks.

It helps if you upload to get better search results & connect more easily. Some people filter out those that share less than a certain no. of files so those that share less than that wouldn't be able to connect to such people.
