Angry unzipping files

Hi ppl.

I try to unzip files by using winzip... But SOMETIMES it says that it "does not appear to be a valid archive." Why does this happen and is there anyway that I can resolve this problem if it happens again.

Thnx

Not sure. But it might be worth getting another utility like winrar. It will also open zip files. Sorry I don't have a link but your can google it. Another app is Aladdins StuffIt Expander for Windows. The Expander is free & opens many archive formats.

The file might have even been corrupt or .... basically corrupt. You'll certainly come across those odd ones that do have problems. Generally the original file has a problem. I suspect they may have archived the file in the background whilst they were doing numerous other things with their computer & thus something went amiss in the process. It doesn't seem often but it does happen.
