Can you automatically refresh downloads? I'm just wondering if there is a way to automatically refresh your downloads when they go to "Awaiting Sources" so that it keeps looking for new sources instead of clicking Resume. Or does it do it automatically? |

I think you're going about things the wrong way. Everybody has their own style (see my example at bottom of page), but using Resume on all your downlds is not the best way. Sure resume can be effective but it also has side-FX! Side-FX may include affecting LW's connection quality, making LW overbusy & also make your comp work slowly. It's also not so healthy for the Gnutella Network b/c with so many requests being sent out for files, it bogs down the network traffic. A manual search 'is the most' effective way to find sources for downlding from. Here's some hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 |
