UPnP Framework

I'm using XP with Service Pack 2 - when I installed limewire I was asked to unblock it - not a problem. BUT! When I installed limewire for d/l it listens on port 6346.

Question is shouldn't this port also be opened for others to have faster d/l speeds irrespective of port forwarding?
